She couldn't wait to start her lessons with Navarre. She was glad he was giving her this opportunity to prove herself and then hone her skills as a warrior. When Navarre stepped toward her, she pricked her ears, watching him alertly, but not because she expected an attack. More because she felt he was moving with purpose, like he was teaching her even before he spoke and she wanted to take in everything he had to show. The way he stepped was efficient and yet effortless, but he got where he needed to go in the deep snow. He agreed that she should be more agile, but said he was looking for something more obvious. She tilted her head, one brow lifted in curiosity o what she should have said. Then he said her mind and she grinned.

She wasn't looking for it when he leapt forward, his shoulder making contact and with a grunt, she stumbled backwards and tripped on the snow. Gasping, she landed on her rump, still watching as he turned back to her. He told her that her mind would be her biggest advantage as she got back up and shook the snow from her coat. Then he told her how the terrain can be to your advantage or disadvantage. she nodded, giving him a wry smirk. "Guess you just proved that, right?" But she wasn't mad about it. She was absorbing it all like a sponge. It's not like he hurt her. She took it for what it was worth, a lesson. Then he told her to stay three steps ahead of her opponent. She tilted her head, her tail swishing behind her. He told her to watch her surroundings and see what may not be seen at first. Her eyes lit up as she nodded.

Then he came back toward her and she lowered her center of gravity this time, grounding herself in case he tried to push her again. This time, she would be prepared. But instead he said let's have a go and that he wanted to see her think. She smirked, her eyes already sweeping their surroundings. Then she rushed him, looking like she was running right up to him. Instead, when she got close enough to lunge, she shoved her front paws into the snow drift that separated them, throwing snow up at his face before dodged to the right, into his path. She turned her head, angling to grab at his inside front leg, just enough to pinch his flesh before she'd release and dance back out of reach.
