Yuki's resolute nod had not gone unnoticed, and I felt confident I had gained a very valuable new member to the pack in this moment. For some time now Spirane had lapsed into a quiet existence - not necessarily disappearing off the map entirely, but certainly enjoying a reprieve from the dramas that swept through Moladion like the coastal tides. Having a woman such as Yuki among the ranks would be quite beneficial to the pack's future, I thought to myself. There were many young wolves amongst the ranks who had yet to figure out their paths in life, and how they might contribute to the pack. Perhaps having a storyteller such as Yuki to ignite their imaginations and passions would help stimulate goals for the children's futures.

My tail continued to wave back and forth happily at the woman's reaction to my suggestion of Snafflefang as a potential path for her to pursue. I nodded in understanding as she spoke of her inexperience with caretaking but her willingness to learn. "We do have a couple of skilled healers in the pack if you would be interested in shadowing one of them - Moonfeather and Jubilee are two women working towards becoming the pack's healer. There is also Moonstone, our Windwalker, who is versed in an abundance of skills." Though healing was not a direct responsibility of the Snafflefang, the ability to administer care to pups who might get themselves into a spot of trouble would surely be helpful.

As we began to move into the packlands, Yuki seemed almost distant for a moment. But there was something of a look of excitement on her features. Grinning, I walked alongside her in companionable silence for a moment until she seemed to return to the present with a sheepish smirk. Nodding once more at her words, I answered her questions with ease. "There are two options you may choose from to prove yourself for the position of Snafflefang. You can host a storytime session for the youth of the pack - and whoever else might like to attend - or you can offer to relieve a parent and babysit their pups for a spell. Whichever suits you." I had a feeling that I knew which option she might lean towards, given her self description of where her talents laid. "As for the other upper ranking wolves, admittedly the ranks are rather open at the moment. I think perhaps you might like to meet Tyrion at some point. He is my Razorwhip - chief diplomat for the pack - and has traveled much of Moladion and came to us from beyond our country's northern borders. His many years of experience might offer a few new tales for your repertoire. As I mentioned before Moonstone is our Windwalker, a shewolf of many skills and a friendly disposition. There is also Viora, our Changewing and master spy. She has kept to herself these last few years, but she too has a plethora of experience and history that she might be willing to share with you."

I paused for a moment, thinking of the other wolves in the pack who might be of assistance to Yuki in her journey to gain the rank of Snafflefang. I thought, perhaps, that it might be nice for her to form relationships with the other wolves currently working towards promotions - those who would make up the rest of The Nest should they complete their tasks. "Another new member of the pack, Navarre, is working to become our Rumblehorn - that is our head warrior. He seems a noble sort, as warriors tend to be. And of course Moonfeather and Jubilee are striving to become the pack's Boneknapper. Moonfeather is a shamaness, very connected to the world around her. As for Jubilee, I do not know her as well - though with four pups to tend to I am sure she is kept rather busy at home." I chuckled softly, though inwardly I made a mental note to take time to get to know the woman better and learn more about her. It was high time the pack became more familiar with one another, a more cohesive unit, and there was nowhere better to start than with me, their leader.
