Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He couldn't help but laugh as she joked about bringing him red meat, saying it would put some meat back on his bones. He rolled his eyes. "Well, I won't turn it down, either way. As long as you plan on staying for the meal." His smile was tender, hoping that they could share more meals together. As she poked at him with her paw, he chuckled, though he loved the look of shock on her face when she teased him about calling her fat. Like he would! She teased him once more, saying maybe he would look fluffy if he stayed out of the water long enough. He smirked. "Maybe, but that doesn't sound nearly as fun as swimming." He waggled his eyebrows. He watched as she took in his look and ate the last of the crab meat. His features softened, glad that she was willing to try something new.

She seemed to notice him looking at Inanna's collection, asking if he would ever move them. He knew where she was going with her words but thankfully she cut herself off, letting her voice trail off even as his heart twisted in his chest, cutting off his breath. He glanced down at his paws before finally looking back up but his eyes were sad and pained again. "Maybe...just not yet. Just a little while longer." He gave a sad smile before looking back at the collection, that familiar stinging returning to the backs of his eyes but he didn't want to cry in front of Talien, not anymore than he already had. After a while of silence, Talien said that she would help him and he dragged his gaze back to her, his brows furrowed in question.

She brought up burying the past then and he knew what she was saying. He scowled thoughtfully and looked back down at his paws before nodding slowly. He couldn't form words though. Luckily she lightened the mood, saying they could go chase gulls now, even teasing him about his old muscles. He shook off the sadness and chuckled, shaking his head. "Old muscles? I'll show you old." He brushed past her, playfully nudging her with his shoulder before he took off, easily racing across the sand as he barked over his shoulder. "You coming or what? Don't let an old man beat you."
