The femme found herself hiding out in some bushes, hoping that no one but Perdere would find her here. She couldn’t imagine how she would deal with Sindicate or Draven alone. Those were the two that scared her the most here. The alpha who had been crazy enough to call all these evil wolves together, and the vampire who by nature was a beast to be feared. Maybe she should have just gone back to her den rather than sit here ready to be found by anyone. Luckily for Shilo it was the male that she wanted to see that found her. But when he approached he began lecturing her immediately, and that was not why she had been seeking him out. Couldn’t he tell how unhappy she was here? Wasn’t he unhappy here? She knew that the two of them were very different, but she felt that in their journey to come to this place together made them share a bond. Or was he just being foolish about her situation. She knew that he had kidnapped her and threatened her, but did that mean that he was truly bad? She didn’t think so. There had been reasons beyond both of their control that had made him resort to kidnapping. At least that was what she told herself. Surely Perdere wasn’t evil like these wolves that wanted to live here.
With a sigh at hearing the words Perdere began speaking to her, she turned to face him, her cool mint green eyes showing how tired she was. She was still trying to convince herself that she was staying here because Perdere had forced her to. But deep down she knew that wasn’t true, even if she wasn’t willing to admit that to herself. But what was the point if he was going to talk to her like this? As if she really wanted to be in this pack. Shilo began to grow angry when he said that she had a chance to leave here and had not. Where else was she supposed to go? He had forced her to make this journey and now she was stuck. They both knew she could not survive on her own. Surely something must have happened to the rest of the pack that used to live here, and she had lost her chance to leave with them because of Perdere. This was his fault…not hers. She finally spoke up, her vocals loud after keeping her anger under wraps. ”I’m not going to the stupid hunt. I don’t want to ever see any of those wolves again. This isn’t my fault that I’m here! You took me and made it so I couldn’t get back to my pack. Where else was I supposed to go?”
The male went on to talk about their “homeland”. But it had never been a home to Shilo. She had not bene told stories that made her long to go there. There was nothing about those lands that made it appealing to her. She would much rather never find herself in Faraway. Not just because she would never survive there but also because she wanted nothing to do with those wolves. They were where evil was born. Evil that tore families apart. She had had enough trouble with the wolves that had come to Blossom, nevermind going to that place where they were all from. It seemed that Perdere didn’t understand her at all, when she thought that he had. And when Perdere went on to talk about love, Shilo wasn’t sure what to make of it. She had never known love. Not in a romantic way anyways. And if all wolves turned out to be as uncaring as this brute, then she didn’t want to. She thought that they were going to have to fight to survive this place together, that he would want to leave as quickly as she did. But it seemed that the other kalak was content to stay in these lands filled with insanity and terror.
When he was finally done speaking…lecturing…her about the life she didn’t understand, she spoke once more. Mint green orbs blazing with the anger that she felt. ”I don’t care about Faraway and I’ll never go there. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with. I don’t understand how you can possibly be happy in this place. Why did you ever leave Faraway if you were just going to end up back in some pack that was filled with evil demons anyways?” Shilo paused for a moment, trying to hold back how she just wanted to scream at him and run away. “And I don’t care if these wolves tear me apart. Why would I when I have nothing? You took me away from my life and my family is gone…my brother is probably dead by now and he was the only thing I had left. I have nothing to live for anyways.” With her last words, tears began to well up in her eyes and she turned away from the male, not wanting him to see her cry. She began to walk away from him, deciding that maybe she would just walk until she could no more and let nature run its course. The world had been trying to take her life for so long, why stop it any longer?
