Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Be careful of what you touch lest the grave be what you lust

It’s perhaps could be said that her relationship with Kershov was… Unique. In this day and age, in this place of Blossom Forest, all too often there was a dominant tole and a submissive role making up the relationship when it came to mates. There was the male, meant to protect and lead, and the female who was meant to bare pups and serve. But this could not be held true for the relationship that existed between Athene and Kershov. The power was even between the two of them, each balancing out the other in a way that made it dangerous for anyone who ever sought to go up against them or separate them. They were both skilled warriors, yet both held an insurmountable piece of pain history behind their cleverly shaded eyes, and the intelligence… Well… perhaps it should instead be said that what they were worst part was mediocrity. They were all in, one way or the other. And this referred to all manners and details of their life. They loved each other with such a fiery passion that nothing could ever get between, yet they drove each other absolutely insane at times. The belief they had in each other and in themselves wasn’t breakable, and was made only stronger because of the other. They wanted... no, they demanded loyalty and gave their own in return with black-and-white terms. Perhaps Kershov was a master of manipulation, but the bottom line was always simple and clear, at least to Athene. Perhaps that was all the more ironic given the shade of fur painted upon the pair - white and black solidly, without a touch of grey. Perhaps they’ve been destined to live as thus …

At any rate, in the past year, so much of Athene’s life had changed, so much had happened The pair were dynamic in that sense, given that they had gone from hardly speaking to one another, to being mated in every sense of the word. They had already had their first litter together, twins, and then Gwyneira had killed her brother, and the victor had then been violated and slain by the devil Draven. Kershov had been accused of rape, something that had by now been proven false, and the existence of many of his litters had come to light - apparently two by Kahlan, one by Nimueh, one by Queens in the past,… The list went on and on. But those of importance, now, were few and far between especially since the she-wolf witch Nimueh had vanished. And so it was mainly just the ones whelped by this unknown Kahlan figure… Apparently the pair had created Briseis long ago, before Athene had ever met Kershov. Brie had then been captured and manipulated by the strange and mystic powers that a vampire held over his Mesmers. But even after the truth had come out, they had been unable to address it, for she had fallen into an unwakeable slumber, right outside the border of Uyaraut. It was safer this was for Briseis - she would no longer be subject to the torture of Draven... but all Athene wanted was answers. And then of course, there was Kaukab, another of Kahlan’s spawn, who was serving as the pawn responsible for creating the alliance between Uyaraut and Graes Waegholm… And Athene found that she was uncomfortable at the idea of this pup having so much autonomy. If he fucked anything up, the alliance would be screwed all hell. As it was, they had heard not a peep, not a single update. And she was growing antsy… But not just because of that. Each morning she found her jaw tensed, a headache already set in from grinding her teeth together as she spent the entire night in her dreams tearing the vampire Draven apart limb from limb. But there was still the matter of his venom, which none of them could be guaranteed to survive from.

In a short and sweet version, though it was neither, her thoughts were a jumble, very different from the focus with which she normally went about life. And to digress to the other various changes, she had gone from a member of Uyaraut - valued and appreciated yes but still untangled - to a queen, meant to rule alongside Kershov. Now, the pack that she had grown up within had no ruler. There of course had been rules, strict ones set in place that were decided upon by a council of the most respected wolves from each faction, but not by a singular ruler. And so while the title of queen had never been a goal for her, what she felt most honored by was the recognition for her prowess. Although Kershov had been sexually lax in the past, polyamorous even, he had changed all of that to be monogamous for her. It spoke to her abilities, for he was not one who could ever settle when it came to his eternal partner. Yet in the time she had taken up this mantle, she had done hardly anything with it, for she had been recovering from the last set of pups that they had created together - essentially a horde of monsters and mutants. Despite her initial desire to slay them all, she had refrained, mostly because Kershov had convinced her that they could be made into something useful, and despite their outward flaws, they had the paired DNA of an exceptional mating. And so Athene had tended to them, part mother, part ruthless teacher. And each day told them that she always expected their best, no matter what.

And now? The call from a stranger from the border pulled her from her pups. She glanced over them, and had said not a word - her piercing gaze was enough to relate to them to behave in her absence. Roughly, the crowned femme fatale had nuzzled each of them before running off towards the boundary, stretching out muscles that had been cramped far too long. And the pups perhaps could not realize it, but the fact that she showed them any sort of adoration as she did was miraculous enough. She had received none when she herself had been a pup… But after losing so many of her kin to death, she loosened up a little bit in the way of showing affection. Her large paws, big for not just a female but any wolf, pounded against the earth and carried her across the grassland. It took her longer than it normally would have, but she eventually reached the edge, her pools of amber settling upon her mate and a stranger, one whose skull was graced with a large set of antlers like hers. From the previous description that her mate had given her, she knew that this had to be Siku. She moved to Kershov’s side, showing no affection other than standing close enough for their hairs to enter twine. Other than that, she was silent and stoic, staring down the opposing alpha, waiting for a report.
