Sorry, I didn't mean to be offensive.
Now that you explain your position, it makes perfect sense, and I agree. That's constancy is one of the things I originally liked about jai-alai.
Here is a quote you may find interesting. I think Straymar has spoken about a big pick 6 hit at Palm Beach Jai-Alai. It turns out that the late Pete Axthelm wrote an article about it in Newsweek, March 21, 1983, entitled, "The $500,000 Sure Thing.”
I remember that he led off with a dismissive, "Jai-alai is a basically random game, where the same players line up against each other night after night."
My reaction to that now is about the same as originally, "What an ignorant jackass!"
The same players night after night is a good thing, not a bad one.
Seriously, if you want to study it scientifically or at any level of analysis, what more could you ask for? The players are all there, trapped under your microscope. Eg: Tiger's "10 years of Arriaga singles" topic.
If you so desire, you can study your brains out.
So I agree with you that once you familiarize yourself with the roster and handicapping factors, it could be much easier than a constant stream of unknown entries.
