Before she could even get a response from Thackery, something felt off around them. He seemed to go from the need to feed to the need to attack and kill. She had been around Vampires long enough to know the difference. She looked around to figure out what was going on around them. It wasn’t until a darker fae came out of nowhere. Thacks screamed at her to run, but those blue eyes of the other wolf made Tesa freeze again. This is not happening.

Her brain went into overdrive and tried to figure out a way to get them out of this mess. She didn’t want to see a fight between Thackery and a Tempest. ”Stop! I’ll take responsibility for him! Please don’t hurt him!” She screamed as the two clashed and fought, her screams rang out around them, but neither of them stopped. Thacks fighting for his life, fighting for the right to live. The other demon fighting just because she could. It made bile rise in Tesa’s throat at the thought.

She couldn’t look away, her prayers were reaching deaf ears that Thackery would win, that he would leave with her and she’d be able to keep him safe. She couldn’t lose him. Not like she had lost her brother, her sister, and her love. This monster called him a bloodsucking bastard, that wasn’t his fault or his choice! She knew he was more than what that creature thought of him, did she care? Not one bit, but Tesa did.

Then the unthinkable happened. Thacks had lost, the monster ripped at him, taking what was left of his life and ripped it from him. She screamed again, this time catching the fae’s attention. ”You were talking to him? How about a ‘thank you’ for saving your life?” a snarl left Tesa’s mouth as she stepped closer to her dearest friends attacker.

”You want me to thank you for murdering my friend in cold blood? You want me to thank you for being a monster and taking the last wolf on this land who cares about me away? You stupid stupid pup! He meant everything to me! AND NOW, now I’m all alone again!” She snarled and felt the need to scream at this wolf rise. ”Did you know anything about him? No, you didn’t. Did you know that he took in my pathetic life while I was dying and blind and fixed me? Did you know of all the different things he’s done for me? No, you just see what you believe to be a monster.”

She took a deep breath and snapped her jaws at the wolf. ”You took the only love I have left from me. I will find a way and one day I will take your life from your body and make sure that you suffer while I do it! They’re are trying to live their lives the best way that they can, you are the monsters that hunt them endlessly to fulfil your ridiculous pride in ego as these great protectors.”

Tears had started running down her coat as she looked at Thackery. She wanted to beg for him to come back to her. For her to have told him how much she loved him as a friend and brother, how much he meant to her, but she knew she was still weak. She just wanted to die with him right there, to never leave him. She had nothing left to live for. No one would remember her if she died. No one would care if she passed. Her body collapsed next to his and she let out a mournful howl, not caring if the she-wolf was still there. She just wanted to nuzzle up against him and cry.

”Thackery, please come back to me, I’ll be good, please. I can’t make it without you. I need you to come back.” She sobbed quietly into what was left of his torn neck, blood soaking into her fur as she did.

”Please, I’ll be good.”
