Someone thought they had died and gone to heaven to have Diego put in their early Pick 3 (when ongoing) instead of Goenaga. They were in line to collect the whole pool ($1000+) for their $1 and they got to possible game point and.........Nope. That had to hurt. I would have had to throw a few down to ease the pain. You're right if they did that at the horses and I was on track with a live ticket I would join the mob that would form demanding compensation or someone's head. I caught that about Minte too and was like "but what about the other games?". Game pages come in handy.
Mahoning Valley is what they replaced Beulah Park with. That sucked let me tell you as I played Beulah Park quite a bit back in the day. Went up to Beulah (Grove City right outside of Columbus) during the final week to say goodbye to that old plant. So sad, I'm tearing up as I type this. All so Columbus could have a stinking casino, at least they still have Scioto Downs (harness). The casinos and racinos were necessary to save Ohio racing so I understand but it still hurts that Beulah is gone and River Downs was totally changed and turned into Belterra Park. Sacrifices had to be made and at least Lebanon harness racing becoming Miami Valley Gaming was an improvement. And I can still see harness racing there (Lebanon) once a year as it is the Warren County fairgrounds and they have a day of racing at the county fair in July. I took my wife there for our first date so it has sentimental meaning to me on many levels. Used to go there with my Dad back in the 1970s.
Trying to hit that Pick 6 at Gulfstream today will take lots of money so the syndicates will rule. I did find a Pick 3 play in all that mess but I'm having to hit the "All" button on race 9. Hopefully the longest shot on the board comes in on that race. Replies:
