At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

For months now, he had been scraping by, living on the outskirts of Crith-Thalmhainn. It was not the sort of pack that he had ever expected to find himself in, nor was it the type of pack he ever wanted to belong too. From what his sister told him, it was a quite terrifying place to exist in. In some ways, the stories that Shilo told him were much akin to the stories that his mother used to tell him about their own homeland in Faraway. The inhabitants were unusually cruel, manipulative… Sadistic… But these ones apparently were cannibals, willing to eat their own kind. Hell, they even had a bonafide vampire among them… And once again Tiresias found himself thinking of Castiel. How long it had been… How much time had passed… Astounded him. Initially, Tiresias had cast Castiel out, but in the end Tiresias had also cast himself out. For it had been torture to live in that cave without Castiel, it had been torture to feel the loneliness, the void where Cas’ body had once been. And as horrible as it sounded, as confused as it made him, he missed his friend. He found himself once again furious with himself for not truly believing Castiel. All of the stories that the Tempest had told Reece, trying to explain himself - Tiresias have not believed any of it. He had believed that it was what Castiel believed, but saying that… Had not Tiresias essentially just called Castiel crazy? More than that, Castiel had told him all about the vampires, and here, in this place with no connection to Castiel, with no reason to be here, with no way that such a story could have reached here unless it was true, his own sister had told him about a vampire. And he realized now that even though he had brutally betrayed Castiel, it have been unwarranted. Castiel was his one true friend in this world, and Tiresias had treated him like shit.

Not only had he not believed Castiel‘s words, he hadn’t trusted him at all. And at the first chance he got, Tiresias had betrayed him with words of anger. What did it matter who Tiresias loved? For… Tiresias did love Castiel even though such an emotion disgusted him. And it didn’t matter that he would never be able to create heirs for the kalak line, for his claim to the throne of Faraway was long past, not that he had ever wanted it in the first place. There was no reason for him to ever lay with a female… Yet still the thought of homosexuality caused his innards to churn and roll. But his own views on it… That was his issue, and he should never have lashed out at Cas like that. Castiel had accepted him for being blind, so why had Tiresias had such difficulty accepting Castiel for being gay? Castiel had never made a move on Tiresias until Tiresias initiated it. And yes, Reece was confused, but at least when he had been by Castiel‘s side he had been confused with the presence of a friend to comfort him. Now he was just lonely and alone, feeling worse about the guilt for hurting Castiel than he ever had for being gay.

All he wanted now was to find his friend… Reece had stayed here for all this time hoping to convince his sister to leave Crith-Thalmhainn, but she had refused to, she had said she couldn’t. And that was her choice, Tiresias couldn’t force her to do anything she didn’t want to. He knew that there was more here than what met the eye - if she wanted to escape, she could have, she would have. But… He had to fix his own problems now, and the first step in that was finding the one he had hurt. But Tiresias had no idea how to find Castiel. The only places in Blossom Forest that Reece even knew about was the ocean, Crith-Thalmhainn pack, and his old pack. He knew the names of other places, yes, but not where they were, not how to find them. And for a blind wolf, that was a huge issue. And so as painful as it was, he had started the long trek back to the ocean. Along the way, he had kept himself fed on small things mainly, slower organisms. He could catch the smaller birds, and occasionally fish… He had even become quite adept at eating turtle recently, once he learned the hard way that it was best to dispatch of their biting end first. The trek , which would’ve taken a normal wolf a week, maybe two if they were going leisurely, took him nearly a month. He had to check where he was in regards to the river constantly, yet at night how to find cover where he would not be so exposed. And the long trip give him plenty of time to think about everything, to think it through. To figure out exactly what he would say to Castiel if he ever found him. And all the way… He kept his heart open. He knew that if he had even a little bit of a chance of salvaging even their friendship, he would need to be less judgmental, more understanding. What he didn’t realize he was doing, however, was being emotional enough for the newly transformed Oferweder to sense him. Castiel would know where he was, what he was feeling… And it was all up to him now whether Castiel would find him... or not. Toward the end of the month, Tiresias felt the air shift, could taste the heavy salt on the wind again, and it brought back bittersweet memories. This had been what he had always considered to be his home… For the first time in a long time, it felt like the ocean would welcome him back with open arms, his sins forgiven although they would never be forgotten. And on the day where he finally made it to the shore? He walked to the water’s edge, letting the lapping waves kiss his toes in welcome. The tears began to stream down his face, on both sides, weeping for everything he had done to destroy the perfect life that he had once had…
