RIUMRIX

I do admire your courage

He had threatened, had warned her that she needed to change how she was speaking to him, lest she lead to his arousal. But she apparently did not care, and was instead amuse by his obvious sexual desire. In the next breath, despite his obvious want to change the subject to avoid any uncomfortable moments, she let loose a seductive sentence, essentially offering to pleasure him to relieve the discomfort of his swollen and throbbing member. It was not an unpleasant offer, and for half a second he considered taking it. How long it had been since he had lain with another, given all of the work they had been doing in order to try to gain hold of this land. He had been working tirelessly, trying to find his deus or any of his other clan members. But he had been rewarded with nothing, and had come up empty. At one point he had come across his deus’ scent, but it had faded and deteriorated as Riumrix had tried to trace it. But as for Atakask’s attempts at seduction… the only problem was that she was not a clan member, and laying with her would be inappropriate at a best, worthy of a significant punishment at worst. Half-blood children were not rare, nor even unheard of, but considering that Riumrix was trying to earn his Deus’ trust and praise, he did not want to risk anything. Luckily for him, he did not need to make a choice for she went along with his subject change without any further pushback.

He appreciated what she said - that she had no desire to take the role that she was given in life without earning it, that she resented the fact that her crown was based on her blood line rather than her efforts. She seemed to be at least a worthy wolf if nothing else. Nowadays, it seemed that too many were willing to do nothing at all and expected all the rewards and treasures in the world. They demanded respect without earning it… And Riumrix found himself glad that she was not cut from that weak fold of cloth. And then she mentioned the rainbow wolves, and Riumrix cocked an eyebrow. “What, pray tell, is the purpose of these rainbow‘s? If they are as colorful as their name implies, their coats lend to them absolutely no camouflage at all. Or perhaps is it a misnomer? Are they actually dull black and grey and white? If colorful, do they stand out to intimidate their foes? Or is it mesmerizing? Is it unrelated to their skill at all, are they actually quite strong in battle?” Riumrix realized he had more to learn about this land than he could have ever imagined, and he found that he was intrigued by the variety of species living here. It was much more different than he had originally realized, and the learning curve of it all would be quite steep. Whether or not she told him anything further about the rainbow colored wolves, he smiled politely down at her she laid down onto her stomach and then proceeded to roll over playfully. But playing was not something he was quite familiar with. His entire life, he had been trained for battle, for killing, so that he could prove himself and secure his place in the afterlife. But he did recognize what a wolf flirting sounded and looked like, and this was definitely still it. Acutely aware of his still swollen sword, he shifted his tail to block her view once again.

The ways of my people are sacred, they are part of our religion as much as our way of life. It could be said that our religion and our leadership are intricately intertwined.” He paused, silent for minute. I suppose there is no law specifically forbidding informing you of our ways however - it would simply be seen us trying to inform a lesser being of our ways. Very well then. Our religion states that our true life shall not be live in this lifetime, but in the afterlife. However, we are not granted access automatically, no. Instead, we must prove ourselves worthy by wracking up a significant body count. The dead bodies will serve as the toll fee to pay to the gate keeper in order to allow us entry. In terms of our blood rituals, we have one for just about everything. Should we wish to reproduce, our bodies do not allow it without a blood sacrifice. We of course still interact in sexual intercourse, yes, but such a coupling would never be fruitful. Then there is a ritual for when you choose your soulmate, it binds you to that one other forever. There is another ritual should a couple wish to have a overly large litter, and then of course there was a ritual to mark those deemed to be traitors. Those are the important ones to our culture… There are more of course, a laundry list of them but those are the ones of note thought you might be interested in.”

He peered down at her from above, his brows raised gently as he studied her. “Why do you expose all of your vital organs to me? I have said that I would not kill you, but that does not mean that I won’t. We have no rapport together, not yet. Not after a single encounter that has not even yet come to pass to fruition. So why trust me by putting yourself in such a vulnerable position?
