I didn't realize it until I heard tonight on the News and verified it on the internet, that a Presidential veto must be overridden by a two-thirds majority in both Houses of Congress.
I guess my thinking that a Presidential override required a super-majority only in the Senate had to do with the fact that a super-majority type of vote (sixty votes) is required only in the Senate to move legislation forward for a final vote. Replies:
