Do you remember Dennis McCormick
IP: 5.81.160.195

Dear Mr. Laverick !

My name is Marion and I'm living in Lemgo/Germany. In 1966 I was friend with a Northumberland Fusilier called Dennis McCormick. He was stationed in
Stornoway Barracks in my hometown.Untill june, the same year, the whole Regiment returned back to England to Kirton Lindsay, from where they were sent to Aden in october or november.I received a photo of Dennis from Aden in 1967. Sadly I lost his letter and his Soldier I.D number. I haven't heard from him in the last 52years.
In 2016 I started searching the internet.I did not know much about Aden until then. I've learned a lot about the" small war" in june 1967 ,saw photos, listened to
Steve Jackson and John Storey, was shocked to see how dangerous it was in Aden.I watched a lot of your videos, viewed the faces of the veterans on the march
to the parliament 2012 to save the 2ndBattalion. But how to find him?
I emailed with Mr.Tony Muray, the Secretery of the Aden Veterans Association Northumberland. He was so kind to ask all his Fusilier friends and found out, that Dennis transferred to the Lanceshire Fusilier after return from Aden and on completion of his service he controlled his own bus(coach) company .Maybe he settled in the Midlands. Mr. Muray also was called, that Dennis sadly past away aproximately 10 years ago, around 60 aged.
I would like to apologise for my unsual request, but your are my last hope, because you know a lot. Maybe you have the opportunity to find out where Dennis lived and where he is burried.I couldn't find any notice under the "Last Post" on the Lancashire Web Side. Well,I hope ,he is still alive.I would have liked to see him again.
I hope I do not cause any inconvenience. I am sorry about my English.
This email goes up to you including the photo of Dennis.

Thanks a lot and kind regards

Marion
