It was definitely news to her, the idea that Blackthorne was actually born here before he went next door to take over Iromar. She wondered to herself if Eden had any idea what the younger wolf was plotting, if he knew Blackthorne wanted his own pack, though surely he must have some respect or fear for his own alpha if he decided to go take over another pack instead of fighting for his own home land. She wondered which it was, but wanted to tell herself that there was some sort of respect between the two. It seemed Eden wasn't up for sharing but she could understand that. Blackthorne was once his pack wolf and under his protection and sometimes you can't just turn that off like a switch. Blackthorne never betrayed him so maybe he still held some loyalty for a former wolf under his protection. She could respect his decision to keep that knowledge to himself. Besides, she didn't see Blackthorne as a threat, at least not yet.
She was intrigued to get to see more of the ocean side pack. She'd only heard rumors of its beauty but of course nothing would beat the real thing. She wondered if they'd run into any pack wolves but was sure they'd probably keep their curiosity to a distance when they smelled a wolf from another pack here. She had never really been to any other packs besides Iromar for most of her life and she only got a glimpse of Taviora during her visit there with Zelda. It was winter so she didn't blame the alpha for not offering a tour. That was a lot of snow to trudge through. As he stepped off, she fell into step beside him, eyes twinkling with eagerness to see everything there was to see. They were headed south and she splayed her toes a little as they started to step into the softer sands of the pack territory. It felt so odd after the soppy banks of the swamp lands.
Her gaze found Eden's as he started to talk, telling her how curious he was of her past and pointing out how Iromar has not been handed down through blood in the past years. She nodded in agreement, though her eyes darkened as she thought of the fates of at least two of those alpha's. "And yet, there was still violence to separate them at times. Andras gave Aithne the throne, but not long after, he asked her to rip out his throat so he could join his imprint, Lillith. He was so troubled after her passing." She looked down as she tried to compose herself, grief tensing her figure before she pushed it out in a deep exhale before looking back up at him. "Aithne was taken from her throne too soon, murdered by another wolf who didn't deserve it. I wasn't there to stop him or I assure you, the story would have played out a lot differently." Her eyes narrowed, murder in her own eyes before she shook her head to clear away the anger. It was over and done with. There was nothing she could do now. "I have heard that wolf met his own deserved fate at the fangs of someone else later before a female called Pine took the throne. Then Pine was defeated by Blackthorne who later abandoned it. If Aithne was still around, she would probably still be on that throne, or one of her children. A lot of things would be different. She knew I never wanted the throne. I only wanted to fight for what's right and those that couldn't fight for themselves."
She listened as he said that Aithne's daughter, Aster, was given a pack and how he was taught to fight for things, yet it wasn't the way anymore. Her lips curled a little, showing a smirk. "Times have changed but I'm afraid I'm a creature of habit. Fighting is all I know so while I enjoy the peace and quiet, I'll make sure to be prepared for anything. My children will be taught how to fight too, so they can help keep that peace around for years to come. Maybe it's not needed anymore...but I believe there will always be times that it's absolutely necessary." He laughed at the idea of it not being needed and she couldn't help the way her smirk widened. As he paused and cleared his throat, she flicked her ears toward him, tilting her head a little before he apologized for rambling and and said he didn't get to meet a lot of wolves from his generation. She smiled, a genuine curious smile. "No apology necessary. I, too, am curious of what has happened in Moladian from the time I was here before till now. I was gone for a brief time and it seemed that I missed a lot in that time."
