Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

My Philosophy is That Worrying Means You Suffer Twice

Life had taken an unexpected turn. For as long as Scamander could remember he had been taught to fear vampires, and for a good while he had done just that. The first time that Diosa had literally run into him he had been terrified. He thought for sure his time had come and that she was going to eat him then and there. But that had not been the case. Instead she had been nothing but kind to him. And it made him realize that it was completely unfair to condemn an entire race of wolves to be evil just because of who they were. Even though she was forced to feed from others of her own kind, she was no monster. She was a kind hearted wolf who had become his friend. But it had taken them some time to become friends. After Scamander had first run away in fear from her, they had run into each other again. But this time the rainbow was more open to the idea of being around a vampire. But once again their meeting had taken a turn. She had yelled at him, as if he was still judging her for what she was. And he felt that he had done his best to not judge her and to be fair at getting to know her. But he had slunk off, hurt and confused. Why had she reacted that way? And why did he care so much? He had no explanation.

Scamander, almost a full grown adult at this point, was beginning to go out more and more on his own. For a while he had been watched more closely by his protector, Vladimir. And when they first met he understood why. Scamander was a young pup and Vladimir a new father with strong instincts to protect him. Not only because of their bond but because of his paternal instincts. In many ways, Vladimir had adopted the young Arcus Irae, and it felt that Scamander was a true part of Vladimir and Seraphina’s family. But as he began to grow and age, he wanted to time to himself. While he loved having the rest of the pups and teens as siblings, it could become too much for him. He would sneak away more and more and for longer and longer periods of time. It was not even to go out and explore, but just to be alone. Often times Scamander was more at peace when he was by himself. The intensity and loudness of the world disappeared when he went off on his own. And it made him feel better when he got too overwhelmed.

And so that was what Scamander had done one early morning. The sun had not yet set and he didn’t realize that fate had more in store or him. It seemed that some force in the universe wanted Scamander and Diosa to meet again. He had not been away long when he heard her call, and he was shocked by it. He thought that she wanted nothing to do with him anymore. At first he was uncertain if he should answer, but deep down he was excited that she wanted to see him again. The pair had spent some time together, making amends and truly become friends. It then became a habit for the two to meet up. Either early in the night to have more time to spend together, or if they didn’t have that kind of energy or time in the early morning before it was dark and before Diosa had to get away from the sunlight’s dangerous rays. Some days he was tempted to ask if he could just stay with her, but he didn’t know why he had those urges. He was too nervous to ask such a bold thing of her though, and he was too afraid of what she might say to him. Scamander didn’t quite realize yet that he had developed a crush on the femme.

It was after another one of their early morning meetings that Scamander began heading back home. He grew more and more exhausted as the moments went by. The emerald and amethyst hued brute decided not to head all the way back home, and instead took a break under some roots to take a nap. His sleep schedule was all off with all the long nights, but it was well worth it to spend time with Diosa. It took the young male no time at all to fall asleep quickly, and he was too tired to even dream. As much as Scamander could have slept the day away, the suns rays had other thoughts. He had not picked a spot that was completely covered, and as the sun rose to its full height, the bright lights woke him. The male grunted with annoyance and was going to roll over and try to sleep more, but a fresh familiar scent reached his nares. Vladimir. The yellow scarved male lifted his head in confusion, why was he hear. When he turned his head, his mismatched orbs caught site of the Tempest. With a yawn, Scamander forced himself up, trying not to be grumpy around the other male. It was not his fault that Scamander was staying up all night. ”Hello Vladimir, what brings you out here?” He blinked the sleep from his eyes as he let out another yawn.
