Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Wren
Speckled Princess
Six ~ Chooses None ~ Destined for Zharko ~ Tide of Diveen ~ 38” ~ 188#
Daughter of Solara & Taliesin; Sister of Finch & Sparrow

How much time passed as the two simply lay next to each other, neither could say. The waterfall continued its constant flow, the rainbow its constant companion as the sun glinted off the cool mist. In the distance, a bird sang a heavenly tune as it flew towards the shade of a near by tree. The moment was tranquil and Wren didn't take a single second for granted. This was it, the beginning of a new chapter in both of their lives. Where ever Zharko went, she would follow. He was her home now, her guiding light, her cornerstone. Together, they opened their eyes and she watched him gaze around the hidden beauty of the crags. Then, he pressed his nose into her cheek and she felt her heart give a little flutter as he spoke.

Standing with him, he asked her where she wanted to go. Was that a ghost of a smile? Blinking, Wren smiled wide enough for the two of them and followed Zharko as he led them away from the pool of water and into the summer afternoon. Speckled eyes looked around the land and were drawn to the mountain. "I've never been there before," she said, pointing to it with her muzzle. "I know my aunt lives there, but that's about it. She would tell us stories of snow on the peaks that never melted and the goats that climb up sheer cliff walls."

With Zharko at her side, Wren felt she could go anywhere, do anything. Giving him another smile, she took the lead and began making her way towards the towering land mass. Her nails clacked on the smooth, hard surface of the crags as she bound over the gaps. Soon, she was panting as the day grew hotter. She didn't turn to see if he was following. She knew he was right there. "What's your family like?" she asked randomly. It was going to be a long trip and she wanted to get to know him as they travelled. "My parents were the alpha pair of Diveen when I was born. My brother, sister, and myself all grew up kind of spoiled until Mom stepped down as queen. After that, we grew kind of distant. When I was taken captive, no one came for me. While I love my family… I think it's time I start thinking of a new life without them."
