The above discussion caused me to try to nail down exactly what "Medicare for All" means.
As indicated in the below-linked article, various Medicare-for-All proposals would offer individuals the option of either sticking with their employer-provided health insurance plans or signing up for Medicare.
On the other hand, the Bernie Sanders Medicare-for- All proposal means universal government-run health care, such as exists in the United Kingdom.
