Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He had been trying to get out more around the pack and find something to fill his days with but his heart was still bruised and raw and maybe it always would be. His mate was gone from Moladian but that didn't mean he couldn't continue living. Triton was getting out more, he had noticed, and seemed to be happier. He was almost light on his feet, as if he'd found new purpose and Thor couldn't be happier for him. But now he needed to find something like that for himself. He was done moping and feeling sorry for himself. Triton deserved better in a father and Glorall deserved better in a pack wolf. He decided instead of hunting and adding yet more meat to the cache he'd already collected in the den, he would patrol a little and see if he met any new faces. Eden had been kind enough to give him a rank so it was only fitting that he continued to prove that he deserved it.

He hadn't gone far when he saw a dark shadow moving across the sand of the pack lands with purpose. Thor didn't recognize the wolf but there was something about his scent that was familiar. Maybe he was related to Eden or something? Thor couldn't quite put his paw on it but none the less, he wagged his tail as he trotted toward the wolf. The closer he got though, the more he noticed there was something....off about the wolf. It wasn't anything in particular he could point out. The wolf moved like he knew where he was going, like he'd been here before, but he didn't have the pack scent on him so Thor could just as well consider him a tresspasser. Of course, he didn't want to go all gung ho on the wolf either and just assume he meant trouble but there was a twisting in his gut that didn't feel right as he continued to watch the wolf move forward.

He smelled blood as he got closer and at first he thought the stranger was injured but no, on closer inspection, it was wolf blood on the male's lips. So he had attacked someone. Was it in self defense? Thor didn't want to jump to conclusions. He scowled thoughtfully and his muscles tightened, ready for anything since he wasn't sure at all what to expect. He cleared his voice as he got closer, angling to cut off the wolf's path without getting too close in case he needed to defend himself. "Hi, there. Is there something I can help you with? You seem to have gone over the borders and I don't recognize your scent. Do you know someone here that I could call?"
