Najira is diligent in her observation of him, and so when he reacts to her words with uncertainty the fact is not lost on her. However she maintains her smooth and mellow demeanor and it wins out for her in the end. For while his first words to her had been a sincere apology, his second words to her were sincere gratitude. He thanked her, and the relief in his tones were all too evident, and in its own manner this soothed her own conscious as well. It was pleasing to her in that moment; that the actions deemed to her by the stars would allow this other wolf to find sanction. Initially she had not known for the things that he sought but the stars spoke well to her and she had a keen ear.
He nods as he listens to her words regarding the stars, though she can spy the curiosity lingering there in his facial expressions. Much like how his eyes cannot see, his eyes are also unreadable canvases, blank for her to gaze upon and try and read. So instead, Najira looks at his chest and his neck, his legs and his tail. She is taking him to memory, creating a special place in her mind to keep the image of him forever, the knowing and the memory of him. All of this she would take in, and then some, for who else but the stars guided her in these moments, even if she had thought to choose for herself. It was her fate to belong to them, and always it would seem they would be right there with her. In truth, there was no way for her to even imagine her life without them. It wasn't something that would ever be a reality.
Finding him more relaxed than he had been mere moments ago, small chocolate paws bring her up into a seated position so that blue eyes could take better observation of him. She had a natural tendency to move rather quickly- something that couldn't be helped between the stature of both her parents- though over the years she has learned how to consciously reign that inclination in and to slow herself down. It was as the stars asked of her, for if she went as fast as her paws were like to carry her, those bright sky eyes were liable to miss particular and specific things. Najira was a good student when it came to the art of learning, and it was something she had always enjoyed. After sitting up and changing her angle of looking at him, she could better see the black that painted his face. Beside his grey, it was the only other color she could find on him, and she could see more of it just past his ears.
However he was a bit taller than her and because of this, that was the extent of her view of him until it was she made her way closer. And even if it was what she wanted to do, it was simply not the time yet for her paws to make her approach. Instead, it was the time for her to answer his question. He'd asked her what a star was, and the dark wolf had taken a moment to gather her thoughts before giving him her answer. "They are the essence of our existence, and it is they that fate belongs to. A star is our guide, always, even when we do not know it." Calm and serene is the best way to describe her manner of speaking, though the fondness when she speaks of them is never underlying or lost. Always is it evident, for she truly cherishes what she's been given and allowed to know and experience. Such as the grey and black wolf in front of her, with his molten gold eyes that would never look into her own.
Regardless of that very fact, Najira is more than happy to return to his grey face after she's satisfied from her initial intake of him. There's something in his bright eyes that brings her back there, to linger and to ponder in her otherworldly way. She is not done with her lessons of the stars, however, and almost abruptly is she breaking the silence that hangs comfortable between them, but not unpleasantly. "The golden light of the stars you possess still shine in your eyes, their light; it is made safe for one to look upon." She does not wholly intend for it, but the stars speak reassurance through her and to him, and as much as it calms him it calms her own soul. "Safe also, are the stars that live above, so that those with sight may admire their light." As Najira had spoken, the first of many of over night stars had popped up in the sky, though still she gazed upon the stars that were his eyes.
To be the very vessel that she is was an immense delight, and though an outward show of her excitement was not something she showed, it was something that could be felt exuding off of her. Not only that, but she did her best to aim her outpour of emotion toward him, in hopes of reaching him in someway. Tranquil and yet happy, warm energy rolls off of her smaller form and though he does not see, perhaps he will feel. Najira is wholly content in these moments, knowing she is precisely where she's meant to be along with the wolf who was meant to be here along side her. |
