Tesa had been searching for something to help numb the pain of losing Thackery. She spent most of her night crying over him. Her body felt like shutting down most of the time and it didn’t help that she just couldn’t breathe properly whenever she’d wake up and think that Thacks was going to visit her. Her heart would break all over again when visions of that Tempest killing him appeared in her mind again.

For once in her useless life, she wanted to be blind again so she’d never have had to witness that. Then there was Draven and Rogan. One she felt she could love if he wasn’t so closed off, the other wanted to protect her from the other. He also offered her a place in his pack. She’d be able to care for vampires and protect them.

Her mind was twisted with pain and hatred along with love and protectiveness. She sighed and continued walking through the trees and shrubs until she felt the wind smack against her that smelled like salt. She looked up from the ground and saw the setting sun, she didn’t know how long she’d been walking for, but somehow she managed to make it the ocean. She was up on a cliff that looked down towards the rocks below that were quickly being covered by the high tide.


Her limps carried her all the way over to the edge of the cliff and she laid down. ”Thacks I miss you. I wish I wouldn’t have been such a pain for you and you would have been around more. Then maybe I could have stopped you from falling into whatever abyss you were in.” She felt the tears forming in her hollow eyes as she looked down at the water below her. ”We didn’t even get a proper goodbye. Hell, I didn’t get a proper goodbye from my brother or sister. I never got to meet my nieces and nephews before they died while Putina was giving birth to them. Melos left me when I was small and broken. Do I get to ever have happiness in this world Thackery? Or am I just to be in this constant circle of pain?” She sobbed and watched the tears fall from her and down towards the watery death below her.

She continued to sob for a while, soon the sun had set and she was left in the darkness. There was no full moon tonight, the stars didn’t shine very brightly either. She felt like nature was reflecting how she was feeling. ”I asked you to come back to me Thackery, I promised that I would be good. Why does no one ever stay with me? Why am I never good enough?” She whimpered before a howl left her lips.


”If I just threw myself off of this Cliff would anyone even notice?” She cried out into the silent night.
