At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

It's alright, just wait and see, your string of lights is still bright to me

Four white socked paws were planted firmly on the floor of the ocean, and the gentle white capped waves that were rolling in made Llìosa’s chocolate fur appear almost black, however glints of sunlight from the beams smiling down upon her showed her true, rich espresso tones, glittering and sparkling with seawater. She had been playing hard, swooping into deep bows as the shore danced out, and pushing up and forward, arcing her body into a full, majestic rear as the water surged back in, her body crashing downward into the water, sending massive sprays outward in every direction, completely engulfing her ochre and pallid physique. The young marionette stood still amidst the upsurge of water, her sides groaning against the physical exertion she had displayed.

She was caught, within her own mind, within her own world. Incapable of noticing the immense beauty around her, or, the handsome stranger that had taken note of her demonstration. She had just begun to surge forward once more, rising up alabaster toes, watching the surf, already looking for the next lull in current to pounce forward again, in search of treasure within the water, when a blur of a boy smashed headlong into Lliosa. She cried out in bewilderment and surprise, unsteady limbs giving out as his weight crashed into her own lithe physique. The coffee and cream painted duet tumbled forward as the ocean’s tide swooshed forward all at once, the timing was perfect and it scooped up the two adolescent children and tugged at their bodies. Lliosa felt the water surge over her head, a perfect arc of translucent blue, and then salt.

It was everywhere, in her ears and eyes and throat. The briny water raced into every pore and opening, forcing it’s way into her nose and down her throat and she panicked. Limbs began to thrash, with no rhyme or reason, just desperate, frantic movements that failed to assist her. Suddenly afraid, with no air left in her lungs she gasped, and her body told her, that had been the wrong choice. Every muscle in her body convulsed as she choked. Her lungs contracted and her throat closed as she tried to figure out what exactly she was supposed to do, she could not see, could not hear, could not smell and could not breathe. The seawater overtook ever sense she possessed and washed them all away, and then, suddenly, the sharp pinch of fangs in her scruff sent her entire body limp. Someone had reached out and taken hold of the floundering child and she instantly relaxed into their touch, as if she knew, they were here to save her.

The harsh actuality of the world was that, she did not actually know what Kaukab’s intentions were, she did not posses a sixth sense or some otherworldly ability. Lliosa was young, and naive, and nobody had taught her that she could not trust every person she met. Despite the rising number of her age, the adolescent was trapped in a child’s mindset, with their unwavering, and underserved trust. And so when her body relaxed into Kaukab’s grasp, she did not actually know if he was going to save her, but her flawed sense of reasoning told her that he was, and that he would. And he did.

The starry painted juvenile grabbed hold of Lliosa’s scruff and dragged her upward, and out of the water as she coughed and sputtered. Though truth be told, she had never been in any real danger. The water which had grabbed hold of her so quickly, and snatched away her balance, had been shallow, and near shore. Had Lliosa not panicked and begun to thrash, she would have found she could have easily simply righted herself and walked to shore.

When Kaukab set her down on the sandy edge of the shore, Lliosa made no attempt to move. She simply laid out at the waters edge and coughed, and coughed, and coughed. Lliosa coughed so hard, it was a miracle that the organs within did not make any attempt to come out. She sputtered and choked for several minutes, before her lungs finally cleared and the burning from the seawater began to subside. Her breaths came in deep sets, sides still heaving heavily as the lithe marionette feebly attempted to regain control.

Finally, after several agonizing minutes had drug by, she slowly, deliberately began to pull her body upward. The girl had been tired, before this boy had knocked her into the water, so now that she had both almost drown and fully recovered? The mocha painted lass was exhausted, it was all the girl could manage not to curl up and nap right there on the beach. However, she still needed to talk to this speckled boy that was standing there, staring at her, looking VERY concerned. Had he been talking to her? Has she missed what he said? Was he waited for an answer??? Shaking the thoughts and questions loose from her brain, Lliosa sighed softly, her tall ears flickered a couple times, shaking droplets of water loose and sending the flying through the air. “What was that for?” she asked, partially confused, and partially indignant. “You know it’s rude to knock people down just so you can play with them.”
