Re(2): Dania Re-Bet Games

The problem with your reasoning is that you say "interest evaporated" but at the same time "not many people like the rebet". So which is it? Was it popular at first or was it a DOA turkey that was allowed to linger?

If you look closely at Tiger's Question of the Week #9, he leads off with:

Small pools, game interruption, channel-switching opportunity, most tote systems don't support it.

Conspicuous by it's absence, there is no mention of impossible tri numbers. So it is likely that at THAT TIME, neither John Knox, Tiger or any others appreciated that horrible flaw.

So, even though you insist that

There is common misconception that the wager was stopped because Dania was selling combos that had no chance of coming in after the first round.

it seems likely to me that once the illegal aspect became common knowledge, that further increased the dislike of the bet, while at the same time destroying any justification for continuing it. A final nail in the coffin.

Tiger says he has no handle info, so unless you have inside knowledge, (eg: conversation with John Knox) how can you possibly know the exact reason it was dropped?

It seems to me that jai-alai had already declined to the point that no new bet { Big Snore, Progressive 9, Rebet } would make any difference. But you can't deny that both Prog 9 and the Rebet were dropped AFTER being shown to have impossible combo's. Not before.
