Magic City - Youtube Posted on April 4, 2019 at 02:33:21 PM by Craig G
It's always been a small, regional, ethnic, niche market. How will they change that?
The answer is pretty simple.
People from outside the 'region' will never be popping into Dania jai-alai in significant numbers - especially now that the seating capacity has been decimated.
So for reaching outside, everything hinges on presenting jai-alai via the most appealing video stream possible. which might include mini game analysis prior to each game, 'news' type commentary periodically, HD, of course, and so on.
In addition, these days you can learn just about any new subject via a faq or a tutorial. It is inexcusable that jai-alai lacks something like that to get new fans up and running ASAP.
Personally, I always liked that jai-alai was so obscure and was presented with no explanation, as in figure-it-out-for-yourself. But that is really bad for attracting the general public.
Which leads to the key question:
What is going on with Magic City and their HD video presentation??
Think about it.
Although it is well known that internet bandwidth costs are going down and are forecasted to continue doing so, zjaialai56 has always been emphatically negative re HD, stating that it can't happen owing to prohibitive cost.
So jai-alai is supposed to give up without trying, yet still compete entertainment-wise with the major sports that you can see beautifully in HD on your home screen.
But then there is Magic City cutting right through all the crap with their Youtube presence.
Anyone understand how they can do what zjaialai56 said can never be done?
And is there any chance that Dania could go that route any time soon?
