Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Something was just OFF about the other wolf but Thor couldn't put his paw on it. Maybe it was in the way he carried himself, more like a cat than any other wolf Thor had come across. When he looked at Thor, it was almost as if he was looking right through the other wolf's eyes, looking at someone else. Was it dementia? He knew some wolves weren't all there in the head but he'd been lucky in life so far to not come across any. Today might not be so lucky. The wolf didn't even try to speak to him, but instead chose to act. As he pounced, Thor was glad he'd taken precautions, immediately dropping his body and diving to the side as the wolf moved for the side of his neck. He knew better than to just stay on defense, though. This was Glorall and the other wolf was obviously a threat.

Deciding it was now his duty to protect the pack, Thor snarled and launched back upward toward the wolf, using surprise and momentum to lunge up for the side of the neck where it meets the back of the wolf's jaw. His top jaw would come up behind the ear and the bottom jaw would wrap underneath the wolf's jaw if his hit was true. He would latch on and pull downward to try to yank the wolf off balance if he made his bite, using his meaty hindquarters to pull. If he missed, he would try to latch onto whatever part of the wolf he could get while staying cautious of the wolf's own jaws. He knew staying in close quarters might not be the smart play here since the other wolf was bigger so he might need to get some distance but he would see how this went first.
