President Trump is right about one thing: No future president, regardless of party, should have to undergo this sort of treatment. I understood that the focus of the special counsel was whether Trump collluded with the Russians, and early on they knew he did not. So they set about to catch him in obstruction of justice in how he reacted to the investigation. After two years they found that he had not obstructed justice, at least to the point of committing a crime.
That should have ended it. But the Democrats in Congress, now in control of "the gravel" (as Maxine Waters says) want to pursue the investigation and impeach him. In other words, they're intent on impeaching Trump, but all they need is a "high crime or misdemeanor." Meanwhile, we have a real invasion of illegal aliens forcing our southern border, and Congress thinks it's just a political hoax.
Anyone have an idea how the 2020 election is going to play out?
