Ah, now we seem to be back on track - at least, for now. I have no doubt she'll be swimming with more to say by the end of her spiel, and I am more than happy to indulge if it means discovering more and more. But I do my best to remain neutral, my best to stop myself from probing too much as she speaks. Instead, I merely nod with each point, considering each tidbit she brings to me. Nymeria, Kalseru, Avery. It seems like a long time ago that there was strife in the mountains and it seems the two sisters still retain peace despite it; Nymeria, most of all, does not surprise me. She was born an heir, that is true, but I do recall her intensity in proving her worthiness in her youth. But what of Kalseru? She has been seated there for quite some time and yet, she seems...elusive, her nature unknown to me despite the familiarity of her name and family.
She pauses, long enough for me to really notice - my head tilts slightly and I move to speak, curious as to what thought might have paused her so. It is not the same breed of pause as before but rather one of...hesitation? Hesitation derived from something other than distraction. But she beats me to it, racing ahead to explain herself with unexpected honesty. Distracted. I smirk, amused. That is not so surprising, is it?
Then she mentions the why and I cannot help but raise a brow. She met her imprint? Ah, one cannot help but give a short laugh at the absurdity of it all - it is, after all, an excellent reason for being distracted. If her condition is anything to go by then she was fortunate to not imprint on something akin to Lihi. Then again, perhaps Tikal's weakness is a different thing, sure to manifest in some other way when it comes to souls and imprints.
"You are apologizing for fate distracting you? Ah, there is no need. After all, that alone is more interesting than anything a young pack wolf might have to say at a party, no?" My lip turns up into a lop-sided, toothed grin. I wonder who might have noticed, if anybody at all. Does Tikal draw in that kind of attention, or is her doting and energy so usual that even imprinting would appear normal to any other watching her? But most importantly, I do wonder who this imprint could be. Is he valuable to Glorall, an asset waiting to be reeled in when the time calls for it? Of course, not everybody is so happy to share their secrets - as imprints often are.
"Is your to your liking?" I will not directly ask her. It would be...inappropriate, I think, to take advantage of the girl's trusting nature. Even I know that much. But still, I'm not only curious of his identify but also whether or not he is worthy of one at all. Imprints, like Lihi and many others, can be made wrong and if a wolf of Glorall finds themselves bound to such a wolf? Then I will do my duty, just as I have done to unworthy 'mates' before. "You are the Kindness of Glorall, after all, and thusly deserving." Perhaps not the most overt or extravagant way of announcing her rank to her but...well, I can almost feel it in the air already: another distraction coming, something much more interesting than talking of ranks and tasks.
