The male seemed tense, at least at first. But he seemed to relax when she arrived on the scene. She took that as a compliment. He stared down at her then laughed when she spoke, her head tilting in a way to say "what's so funny?" But then he told her it was better to smell than to be small and she scrunched up her nose even more, scowling as she pinned her ears and shook her head. "Nuh uh. I will grow but a smell is hard to get rid of. You should really roll in a creek or something. Need me to show you where one is?" She almost sounded indulging like she was the one talking to a child. When he asked about her parents, she ducked her head as if in trouble already, her gaze darting around first to make sure neither of them were in sight. When she looked back at him, her voice was lower, almost at a whisper. "Shh they might hear you! I'm sneaking out so it's a good thing not to know where they are. Mom's probably thinking about leaving again and dad.....well, he's probably picking me flowers again or something." She shrugged, as if it were no big deal. She smirked then, thinking of something else. "So planning on staying long? I'm Nissa, by the way."
