Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Are we written in the sand

She fought back the urge to show his affection. A nuzzle was usually how she always greeting her friends and lover, but something told her to hold off. There was something off about this Soljor. He greeted her differently and he looked confused. He talked differently and sometimes even in a language she couldn't understand. Their child...looks different than Avilius had. Avilius had been black and white like his sire and larger than Agustine was. His hooves had been covered in hair when he was a yearling much like Soljor had ad an adult.

Ernesto had a more exotic look which Agustine had gained some of. The bay copy didn't look quite so different because of his heavy Mustang heritage. The more she looked at Ernesto, the way he spoke to her now, and the more she looked at their son together. She has made a grave mistake. She looks back at Ernesto with tears forming in her eyes. She sees a sudden flash of an image, Soljor in place of the real stallion in front of her. Color was a completely different color than Ernesto. Dark ebony littered in white markings, blue eyes, and a big mess of hair. They were at least the same height, but everything else was different. The color was thicker boned and Ernesto was a darkened gold color.

Cherish gasps as she begins to step backward. "Soljor..he was you..I thought." The world felt like it was spinning. The mare slips and finds herself crashing to the cold ground with a squish. Cherish quickly finds her way back up, but now tears were streaking her face. Augustine watches the scene in confusion and shock. His little eyes run from his mother to his father until he eventually scoots closer to his sire who seemed a lot more level headed than his erratic dam. "Soljor was my mate. I loved him." Cherish speaks with a quivering lip.
