The play at Magic City is not decent, its actually horrible. It doesn't matter if thses guys at Magic City are athletes or not. The skill to play jai alai can not be developed over the course of a few months and especially not when the guys are in their 20's and 30's. People get disillusioned by the fact that Magic City does a good job of promoting their product but in reality their product is terrible.
Any one of the "over the hill amateurs" on the Calder roster are head and shoulders above the Magic City guys in ability to play jai alai.
Taking years to develop excellent jai alai form and posture and learning the game to be able to position yourself to be able to win a point are some of the things which makes jai alai great. Im sorry but what they are doing at Magic City does not qualify as jai alai.
