It's nice to meet you Katie, and learn a little more about all my friends here at LTI :)
I'm 31 (yikes) and have been married for two years. I'm a newspaper reporter in Florida. My husband is also a journalist. I do some contract teaching (for writers/journalists) on the side and regularly freelance for equestrian magazines. Needless to say, I'm busy!
We live downtown in an urban city, but are starting to collect a farm here. >.< I have three chickens (Patti, Nancy and Ruth) two dogs: my rescue mutt from Peurto Rico, Josie, and Tiki, our greyhound we recused off the track. I have a thoroughbred gelding named Mikey who is showing in first level dressage, novice-level eventing and we dabble a little bit in the hunters, too. I occasionally have more horses (sale horses) and ride quite a few at our farm.
When I'm not riding (which is like all the time) I'm trying to maintain our veggie garden or hanging out at the beach with the doggos.
I went to school for journalism but have always found a way to keep the horse connection going, through work or whatever else.
