Her new friend would be ruined now just like the rest of them were. The young mare needed some time away, but she would need to go quietly. Warsaw might drag her back if her notices she is gone so she had to be quick. What harm could a quick trip to the commons do anyway?
The young bay over slips into the chilled water and glides across the sea with ease. She sometimes swam around the Inlet to build up tolerance to the ocean and strength for this very journey. She had been planning this getaway since she was born. At least it seemed that long since she started over the waters begging for the waves to drift her off to someplace else. Instead they brought her grandfather yet another victim.
She reached the shore of the very place most of her herd first came from. She heard stories of the other islands from Warsaw, but mother always said there was nothing worth seeing. Warsaw seemed to leave quite often so she expected there was enough to see for him. Mother never found joy in anything and Solaris was damned if she would let her mother squash her dreams now.
Soon a figure appeared in the distance. Solaris didn't care who it was, she was bound to meet them. Legs carried her closer until she was face to face with the buckskin stallion. The girl out on her prettiest smile. "Hello! Out for a stroll like I am?" Brown ears perk up with full attention on the young male.
