Four pairs of orioles arrived in the first week in May as usual and they have been voracious eaters at our feeders this year.
This week we have seen them eating out of the nyjer feeder as well as the peanut feeder (where they feed in the upside down style of nuthatches). This behaviour is in addition to the usual offerings at the oriole feeder, oranges and grape jelly. I would suspect that this is in response to our delayed start of spring?
