Elohim could have groaned when he saw the child bounding up towards him with that much glee - he was having flashbacks to Aster's silent daughter and the trouble those kids had brought him. Like those ones, this one had something familiar about her too, though it was something much less clear to Elohim. Something about her colour? Her markings, perhaps? But then again, blood of anybody's blood was a common thing in Moladion. Hell, she was probably even related to him in some way. Or he'd simply wanted something to be familiar so he could have...something to talk about with her. It didn't feel quite right to ask a child so tiny and energetic who she thought ought to have power in Moladion. He already knew her answer, undoubtedly: her, of course! Thus was the answer on every child's lips when they were so young and -
Well, he hadn't expected that. Her words made him blink, his head jerking to a tilt. That tone? Big boy? He grinned, wide and toothed as he swallowed back a laugh. He had to give it to her - she was confident. And so far, she hadn't taken a bite out of him so that was nice too - nice to know that others had been wrong in their little whispers of Asteraia.
He composed himself. He gave her a little bow - might as well humor her, no? "Big boy? In that case, that makes you little girl." His words were firm on little girl, a subtle way to remind her of that. If she wanted to flirt, she ought to do so with somebody much younger and much less spiteful than Elohim. A girl with that kind of confidence deserved a better partner to banter with, that he knew. Let her be somebody else's Aster.
He had come to discuss that, sure, but if it were just with her, he might discuss different futures instead. His attention had not left the girl and so, he had moved to speak, only to be interrupted by the sudden arrival of another wolf - not just any wolf, that much he knew. She was a towering thing, silent and sharp, and he couldn't help but inwardly scold himself for having not noticed her. Usually, few things slipped by him and yet she had managed to...for how long? It didn't matter though. Elohim knew immediately who she was. He'd have to be a true fool to not know her for he had seen her before, yes, but because her scent had been the one worn by Asteraia for years.
He straightened, bowed his head low towards her. His posture had shifted entirely, so much so that even the young girl would have likedly noted it; he had straightened but his tail had gone all but limp behind him, his muscles unfurled and relaxed, ears no longer pricked and alert but wholly neutral. Neutral. That'd be the best way to describe it. He spoke of no submission but wholly no dominance either - complete greyness. He was smart enough to know he ought to not appear too strong or too weak. Perfectly neither.
"I've come to discuss the future," he said simply. Only when he spoke did he rise from his bow, his eyes finding the queen's but leaving when the words had been spoken. They focused on her mouth instead then - not the eyes despite his desire to go hunting for truths and thoughts in them. Let it be her mouth and the child beside her for once. It was a good lesson for Elohim - he couldn't push buttons here. Well, he could but in truth, he didn't really feel like tending to another wound yet. So he'd behave and be a good guest for Asteraia.
His head tilted then. "I have other things we could discuss, however, if that topic isn't of interest." Such as...the Pharaoh herself. In truth, he might find that topic more interesting but ah, duty called...or something.
