Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He could sense the girl watching him as he tried (and failed) to shake the sand from his paws. It really was awful stuff. Why did his mother seem to enjoy it so much? As he moved toward the girl, she smiled and he took that as a good sign, giving his own lazy smirk in return. As he spoke to her, she seemed almost amused for a minute before she lowered herself into a bow. Now, that's what he was talking about! His smirk widened and his eyes lit up with approval as he nodded. "Thank you, thank you." He tried to sound as regal and serious as he could, but inside, he was jumping up and down, grateful that someone finally recognized his royalty.

Suddenly the female pointed at her muzzle and he tilted his head in confusion. She shook her head then and opened her mouth as if to bark, but all that came out was a puff of air and then she gave a sheepish grin and waited. Slowly his eyes widened in realization. "You can't speak! How tragic!" He shook his head. "I'm sure you would have had quite a lovely voice, too." As she rose up, he watched curiously and when she spun, he thought at first that she was leaving now and he felt disappointment. But then she pointed her nose toward a path. "Oh, I'm invited?" He smirked, fully up for this idea. He glanced back sneakily at his mother but she seemed preoccupied with the other pups. Oh well, her loss.

Turning back to the female, he blinked when she was staring so intently at him. But then she mouthed a word and he thought for a moment. It looked like she was asking about his name. Oh, that's right! He didn't tell her! He put back on the easy smirk and lifted his head with pride. "My name is Apollyon. And yours?"
