Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Yami
Three ° Free of Love ° Unbound by Fate ° Taviora

A pair of green eyes gazed up at the darkening sky as the stars came to life. He knew he had to leave soon, but the night was so peaceful beside the raging river. A few more minutes wasn't going to do much harm. A single ear twitch was the only warning he gave to the approaching interloper as he quickly turned around with hackles raised. However, they almost instantly lowered when Yami recognized those blood red eyes. The dark form of Elohim stopped a few feet away, a curious tilt to his head and a sheepish grin on his face. The dark boy wondered if he had known the way he would react and chose to halt a safe distance away. He hadn't meant to be so aggressive, but one could never be too careful in the freelands.

"Ah, forgive me, I didn't realize it was you, Elohim." he said, lowering his head slightly. The other spoke of the dangers of being so close to the river and Yami found himself turning to gaze at the dark waters. He hadn't really thought about it, but now that the light was fading, he could certainly see the hazards of the area. But he was smart enough to know better than to simply jump in the water, especially at this time of year. Returning his attention back to his acquaintance, Yami gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Perhaps, but this is the only place near Taviora that allows me the chance to practice my running."

Moving away from the banks, he padded closer to Elohim so as to better hear him above the roar of the rapids. His entire demeanor remained neutral, showing he had no desire to fight or submit to the black wolf. If anything, he wanted to get to know him better. There was an air of mystery about this stranger that Yami found intriguing. And it was clear he had some sort of history with his parents. Halcyon had refused to speak about it and like the obedient son he was, Yami had not pressed. But now that he was alone with this interesting wolf, perhaps he could discover more about his relationship with Halcyon and Aster. "I must apologize for my outburst when you came to visit Taviora. Sometimes I have a hard time keeping me emotions in check. A weakness I am still working on. What brings you all the way out here this evening?"
