The older female didn't look particularly thrilled that Nissa was coming her way but Nissa only took that as a challenge. She hadn't run into anyone yet that didn't like her so why stop now? Plus, the alpha was already quite protective over her so that had to be in her favor, right? She could practically do whatever she wanted! Her plan was already working out too cause even as she was arriving, the wolf dropped the bird to turn her attention to Nissa. She tried not to let her gaze linger on it any longer than a mild curious glance before looking back up at the older female. It was all about distraction, after all. Look where you aren't going. Her father had already been teaching her the art of deception. Her mother wasn't too fond of it but Nissa thought it was fun.
The wolf glared at her but Nissa didn't mind. She only smiled that much brighter, her tail wagging. When she asked about the stars on the wolf's coat, the wolf told her to jump up and grab them with her teeth. She tilted her head, about to question the logic of this method when the female rolled her eyes and said that she couldn't have them cause it didn't work like that. Nissa scowled and huffed. She could do anything she set her mind to, she was sure of it. "I could just have some of yours. Want to share?" She offered an innocent smile but there was a flash of something dark in her eyes. She pictured the wolf pulling out her own fur and offering it to Nissa as a gift. Then she could wear the stars, too. Or she could take them....
But of course she knew she was too small to fight the wolf for them. But she could steal them when the other wolf was sleeping or something.... The wolf gave her name as Skyrippa and Nissa pricked her ears thoughtfully. She said she was busy and told her to go find friends to play with. She even waved her paw in a dismissal sort of way. Nissa decided she didn't like that gesture at all. It made her feel unimportant and inferior. Her brows furrowed in thought. Finally she grinned again. "Better idea. Why don't we trade? Stars for the bird sound fair?"
She was small but quick then, diving in to grab the bird by the neck and darting back out of reach in case the wolf lunged. It was awkward in her mouth since she wasn't exactly big yet but she tried to make it work, cocking her head to the side to make up for the bird's weight throwing her off balance. Her tail wagged behind her, her eyes dancing with mischief as she waited to see what the wolf would do. Her eyes darted to the trees just a few yards over. If she could make it there, she knew of a fox hole she could dive into that the other would probably not be able to follow.
