Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Life went on without much meaning for him lately. He mostly spoke to Xerxes. Even with the bottom jaw broke off thanks to that crazy female, he was still flawless in Fen's eyes, same as he was when he was alive and whole. The skull was completely bleached white by now with no hide or fur still clinging to it, even hidden in the depths of the Grotto caverns. But he'd gotten bored and decided to start taking "field trips" of sorts. Of course, he took Xerxes with him. He made sure to avoid other wolves for the most part, afraid that he might run into his sister, Tikal, again, or something. He wanted her to move on and live her best life without him and Xerxes holding her back. She deserved that.

He didn't even think of his parents much now. He was pretty sure they were both dead or gone in one way or another. It was just him and Xerxes now, them against the world. He carried the skull in his mouth as he trotted across the free lands. The light of the sun still blinded him a little since he spent most of his time in the darkness of the caves for so long but after adjusting, it wasn't too bad. He'd made his way into the thick of the forest, letting the trees block out the harshness of the light for the most part. It was still airy here with a cool breeze thanks to the coming winter but it wasn't so muggy and stuffy as the caverns.

He set down Xerxes after a minute. "Ahh, not so bad here, right?" The words hissed from his mouth, more serpent-like than wolf. He looked to the skull as if for approval before rolling his eyes. "Yesss, not so much dirty dirt as in the caves. You like it here better, hm?" He tilted his head as if listening to the skull, his ears twitching, before he pranced in a little circle. The ground was softer in some places and he flicked an ear back toward the skull as he stepped in a mucky spot. "Yess, swampy in some areas. We'll avoid those. Mustn't dirty your pretty coat, hm? Stick to the dry ground." It was funny; he was so much nicer to his brother after his death than he ever was when Xerxes was alive.
