David Platt is on the case and is doing a Condoleance card from us he also asked Bill Adcock for some info on Jack this below is what he has had back from him

David
The family will really appreciate this. Rosemary and Jack have been married for 64 years. They have 4 children,8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. I am not sure of the exact dates but Jack started his career as a cadet in GB, did his national service in GB with electrical mechanical engineers. After immigrating to Canada Jack served in the Canadian Army(primary reserve) for 30 plus years. He was the RSM of the Lorne Scots, District Sergeant Major for Hamilton Militia District and RSM for all reserves in the province of Ontario. After leaving the reserves Jack took a commission with the Army cadets and retired from the cadets with the rank of major. He was the President of the Lorne Scots Regimental Association and the local Legion Branch. Somewhere he also found time to work with the cadet league of Ontario. Jack was also an instructor with St Johns Ambulance and taught courses to many young recruits. All told he served Queen and Country for over 70 years. Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
Note on photo he has his Fusilier 50 medal
