He couldn't help but wonder what his exotic friend would have been up to in their time apart. Perhaps she was training or spending time with family. Perhaps she had other friends that kept her company? The very idea made a dark beast draw forth in his chest, snarling in jealousy. He wasn't used to this emotion but he only found it within himself when he thought of Menkhet playing with someone who wasn't him. He tried to brush it off, hoping to see her form coming for him soon enough. And he wasn't let down. Not too long after he called out, he saw a striped form running through the snow toward him. His lips tugged into an instant grin, his tail wagging already as she came closer.
She didn't slow down as she got closer and his eyes widened at the moment he realized what was about to happen, but he didn't move to stop it. She pounced at him and though he might have had time to dodge, a part of him was eager for the contact. And it came in a brute force. She was no small wolf herself, after all. They were both still growing but neither were small wolves. He laughed as they rolled in the snow as he landed on his back, he grinned up at her. She started to nip at his ear and he growled playfully as he pulled away the best he could, listening as she spoke to him. She told him she didn't expect to see him and he tilted his head a little in curiosity. The season of death? That's what they called winter? How odd. He shrugged.
"It is merely the world's reset button. When the snow melts away, everything starts again. What better time than to come see you than before the start of a new year and a new adventure?" He smirked up at her, his eyes shining. When she asked if he would like to see her home, he grinned. "I thought you'd never ask. Of course!"
