I think you need to factor in the consideration that the original legislation was intended to let the parimutuels 'shore up' their parimutuel operations, which of course they loop-holed their way out of, and instead took the money and ran by selling to casino interests.
So if you look at alq's position from the POV of a casino that (don't laugh) is trying to honor the original legislative intent, then Magic City is A++.
So until decoupling occurs, this is a phenomenally great way to handle the situation, which - entertainment and betting-wise - is more than any of us could have expected.
Especially in light of all the minimalist sleazy sham stuff going on elsewhere.
I love Magic City and when Stu talks about all the thinking and planning going on behind the scenes, well, it shows up big-time.
