He seemed to be on some sort of high from getting his rocks off but she wasn't giving an inch. Even as her body throbbed with the new pains of being a fertile mare, she wouldn't just lie down and submit. That wasn't in her. It was beaten out of her long ago by both her parents. Her mother wasn't violent with her physically, but she never let Monster forget who and what she was, a proud independent mare who would make a stallion earn their stripes one day. Her father was the one who showed her how a real stallion should treat her and her skin held the scars to prove it.

She wondered if some day she would raise a foal from Rougaru. Would she enjoy it or resent him for it? Her mother never seemed to regret raising her, or at least she never showed it. It was what mares were made for, right? To create life and shape it, whether it be another stallion to repopulate the earth or another mare to endure the stallions. They had an important job, but was she ready for that job? She wasn't so sure. The island itself wasn't so bad. It was actually rather beautiful, but she'd never voice that out loud, at least not where he could hear her.

She knew she was a handful for him and maybe his other mares would be easier. Good for him. She wouldn't give him that satisfaction of being easy. She would be remembered, one way or another. She refused to just be another mare counted in the herd. Name or not, she would have his attention. At her sneering words, he joked right back with her, calling her pampered and she couldn't help but laugh out loud, tossing her head with a snort. "That's me, the princess in disguise. Behold my flawless skin and porcelain heart. Don't go breaking it, now." She said with another sneer as she swished her tail. She knew her skin was anything but flawless with the bite scars and crescent moon markings from her father's hooves and her heart was probably vacant at this point.

She let out another squeal and threw up her head as he nipped at her flanks, kicking out both hooves as she leapt in the air and cork screwed her body in a spirited buck before taking off down the beach further into the mainland. She knew this was what he wanted, but she'd never go willingly, at least not on sight. When she repeated his name and called it reptillian, she knew she'd managed to get under his skin a little and she felt a flash of triumph. She only smirked at him as he said that he was far from lizard-like. She snorted and shook her head, arching her neck as she trotted ahead. She slowed as he started to circle her, her nostrils flaring as she eyed him warily. She could see that look in his eyes again as he said it was a name for beasts of the night.

Pinning her ears, she glanced upward then back at him with her best look of innocence. "I do believe the sun is glaring down on us right now.....not so beastly, after all." She admonished with a chuckle, though she was careful to dance out of reach as his fore legs struck out. She was sure somewhere along the line, they might have more in common than they thought. For who could have raised him to be so domineering than his own parents? Whether the credit was to his father or his mother, someone had shaped him into this creature and she didn't know whether to curse them or thank them. When he looked away for a moment, she snorted, following his gaze but always keeping one ear on him, just in case. She needed to be aware of sudden changes here and he knew the place better than she did so she trusted his judgement, even though she'd never say as much.

When she told him to spell it out for her, he surprised her by chuckling as he moved forward to press himself against her hip. She squealed at the contact, tucking her tail and bunching her hindquarters in warning even as she leapt forward. She didn't want him to feel how his promise made her skin quiver in anticipation. A part of her wanted exactly as he said, for him to use her and dominate her like no other. As his teeth touched her skin, she let out another harsh cry of anguish, aiming a lone hind hoof at whatever part of him she could reach in retaliation as she bucked and leapt out of his reach. Once she landed, she let out a rattling snort and looked back at him, her gaze softening if only for a second, as if inviting him to come at her again. "Can you even spell?" She couldn't help but taunt the words at him as she lowered her head, content to watch his reaction.
