Liland was getting extremely nervous with all this rain. The rain and sand did not mix very well and he was beginning to question his choice in home. Here he thought the heat would be the thing that chased them off, but it didn't look like that would be the case.
The watering hole was so big that the grass by it was starting to flood and the rest of the desert now had random watering holes. What would happen come spring? The new foals.... He snorted as he pulled his muzzle up from the soggy grass when his ears twitched and he turned his head in the direction of a some what un heard of noise.
He sprang into action and was galloping hard out across the sand despite it being soggy. His ears were focused on the sound ahead as he plunged through the soggy sand. He came to a halt upon a dune as he observed the scene. No no this was not gonna happen on his watch. He procceed down the dune and began walking the edge of well quick sand. His nostrils flare as he comes up close to the two. Des was trying to pull her daughter out but it wasn't working. Did he dare go in himself?He was gonna do it, he would sacrifice himself if he had to and despite his nervousness he moved into the sand that seemed to be holding her and he made to push her hind end with the side of his body while her mother pulled. He did not speak as he wanted to put all his energy in to getting libra free.
