i'm glad i learned that the universeruns on death - it's more beautiful to know.
Menkhet looked at Floki with a hint of disappointment as she had began to speak. "Practice is good, but weakness, dear brother mine; weakness will get you killed." Within a heartbeat her teeth lashed out snapping close to Floki before her jaws closed around him with a hold more akin to a mother picking up a pup if only a pinch tighter. Her jaws opened enough to where if her paw wouldn't have been close it would have likely caused Floki to hit the ground with a thump. Instead she had him held by a large paw before placing him down in a more gentle manner. "If you show weakness, only do so to your advantage. You will get the hang of it. You have teeth too, what is a little blood shared between those you love?" She did love her siblings after all but she would force them to learn or she would watch them be consumed by the world. Menkhet offered a lick of comfort on Floki's head. She did intend to reinforce the good sister role before settling her focus on them as a pair once more. She titled her head to Ragnar.
With an mischievous giggle she pulled Ragnar towards her with a paw before moving to nip at his ear. She was almost too curious to see if he would dodge her nip or not. It was an invitation perhaps that she would roughhouse if his littermate became unable to keep up or even if he just wanted more of a challenge. Her tongue washed over Rangnar's head and back, a mischievous grin lingering on her maw. She felt almost certain she could groom him to be a dutiful brother who would do anything for his loving sister. Ah, well at least she could attempt to shape such a blade. "As for you, push your siblings. Understand they have limits however, you must obey your nature. Feed it." Menkhet spoke before her haunting laughter echoed through the den once more; "I love my siblings, but this love is war." understanding her wisdoms were perhaps an oddity and the fact they would not understand the last bit; Menkhet decided to move on.
Standing she looked to the two pups; "As for food let's work on that." The fem made her way from the mouth of the den waiting for the pups to follow her. "What would you like to practice on? Hare or groundhog or perhaps field mouse if you aren't really up for the challenge." Her words were etched with humor if only humorous to herself. Admittedly perhaps it was a bit soon for the pups to practice hunting but it was not something she could be certain on. For all she knew they had just started eating some solid foods opposed to regurgitated meats. At least she was fairly certain they were off milk because if that is what they desired, they were sorely out of luck until mother chose to return.
