Where are the crowds? Posted on July 28, 2019 at 12:37:15 PM by brucefan
Ok, I admit I was wrong. I really thought the key to bringing people back to watch Live Jai-Alai would be to build a nice place for them to watch it . Now we know that the Jai Alai area at Dania is not the BB&T center to watch a live sporting event, but its a far cry from the old, dilapidated Fronton with the leaky roof people used to have to go to
Yet, the crowds are still small , and dont seem to be growing
We all know there are things that can be done, promotion wise, to bring in more people,, most requiring capital. Maybe the focus should be about attacking the comment I still here from people who regurgitate the nonsense that Jai-alia is 'fixed"
I am starting to believe that may be a bigger problem then I once thought in bringing fans back to the game
Thoughts or ideas on how to overcome that stigma, and give the game , and the ability to wager on it more credibility
That was one of the reasons I thought the meet the players night was a great idea
The turn ought was ok, but it gave fans a chance to shake hands with players, see them up close, and put a personal touch on the idea of just wheeling the 2-5/all bet
