Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Kajika

Kajika had come into his own well enough. Grown, he was still a rather small thing. That never stopped him though. With his lean form and long legs, dual toned wolf weaved through the trees with an old familiar ease. He had grown up in these forests, Enocra and the invisible line that turned Enocra into Taviora. The young man had considered going back on occasion, but he also felt a bit of comfort in Asteraia. For all their... uniqueness, it was not forced upon him, nor did he ever actually witness any of their preferred kills for meals.

He was gradually working up the proper courage to lead a hunt and gain a position among the ranks of Asteraia, but there were things he needed to take care before properly doing so. Small he might be, but Kajika was easily a very quick and adept hunter. No doubt if he had the similar tastes as several of his pack mates, he might even be good at that. But the idea turned his stomach. No, he would let them hunt as cannibals, but that did not sustain them, so of course other meals were a necessity. That was where he intended to come in, to lead the pack in day-to-day type hunts until their next preferred meal.

That had taken some getting used to, he had to admit, but the lesser numbers in the plains was a bit more comforting. He did not feel like he had to fight for his place quite so fiercely. Nor did he feel like he was crowded, even when he felt like being alone. Yet, he still wondered and worried over his litter mates, Inyan and Mohegan... And even his young siblings, Paxton, Barrett, and Mouse. They all had gone off to their own devices. Not surprising at this point, they were all grown. The loss of his parents had been painful. Even now, it made him loathe the idea of imprinting on someone. He practically refused to be bound. It's why he avoided large gatherings too.

Kajika paused briefly and gave himself a good solid shake. His mind had gone down the rabbit hole again. The heavy rains seemed to have finally let up. It was only in that moment he realized how drenched his coat was, though there was minimal squelching with his steps. Good, the brindle and white male told himself. Even in presently lighter rain, he barely made any more sound than the droplets falling around him. He debated where to head next. Perhaps all the way to Taviora and see if any of his siblings still lingered there, or maybe find himself something to make a quick meal of in the woodlands.
