The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.
Let your light shine;

Larka had hoped that the unexpected reunion with Shamwari would go differently. She had not expected him to still be alive much less dared to hope that she would find him again. It was perhaps a foolish girl's dream to think that just as her heart swelled with delight so would his own. Grant it she now belonged to Liland's herd, she had hoped that perhaps some time to rekindle long forgotten memories might arise now that his existance was a secure thing. Of all the emotions that could have crossed his hansom chestnut features, the cold indifference is not one she expected to see.

Pale silver blue eyes flash with confusion as he stiffens against her touch. She had expected to feel the softness of his warm, whiskered lips as they brushed against her own cheek... but instead there is nothing but cold indifference. His chestnut skin tenses and instinctively Larka takes a step backwards, raven tipped sonars flickering amid the long windswept tassels of her raven colored mane.

But the cold demeanor that the red stallion demonstrated was nothing compared to the dagger that he plunged into her heart. Long dark lashes flutter over silver blue eyes as Larka dips her proud head, ears flexing backwards in dismay. She knew that she had done him a disservice by disappearing the way she had. She knew that she should have explained herself, that she should never had just left without a word the way she had... but she had done it. Perhaps it had been to much to hope that there would be some semblance of the love that had once been still dancing in his eyes now, far back as it might be. Instead she sees nothing. Their worlds drifted them apart and now even she succeeded that there must be a reason out there somewhere.

A soft, sad smile ghosts across her ash dusted lips now as Larka lifts her eyes to meet his dark auburn pools once more, a glimmer of hope that the cruelness of their world had not tainted him so terribly still clinging to the recesses of her mind. " He has become a find young stallion." she begins, pausing a moment to let her words linger between them before continuing on again, "He has a small band of his own now on the mainlands far to the east of here. Though age has not taken its toil on him yet he and another young stallion were striking off on their own with a handful of fillies when I left." she says pausing again, her words soft, a barely audible whisper. "I told him where I was going... perhaps one day he too will find his way here... but for now he has his own path laid before him." she finishes taking a step back as the audible sound of hooves alerted her to Liland's approach.

Pale gaze shifts to her new herd stallion as respectfully she shifts her weight to make room for his approach. Sleek silver white serpentine arches to brush her ashen labrums against his shoulder in greeting as she takes a step backwards. Twin harks flicker now as gaze travels to Shamwari's companion. She had seen him when she first approached but so caught up was she in the fact that the copper stallion was here on the desert shores that she did not give him proper notice. A warm smile ghosts upon her lips as she dips her head to him in greeting, pale gaze meeting his own. "Forgive my interruption I find myself easily carried away amid arising emotions." she says, pausing a moment, "My name is Larka."

Perhaps more would have befallen her lips were it not for the words of Shamwari with a clear look of meaning in his eyes. Apart of her wished to throw a tantrum, to tell her that she had just as much right to be here as he did but deep down she knew that this was not so. She was not Liland's lead mare, she no longer belonged to Shamwari and he made it quite clear whatever had transpired between them in the past was long over and forgotten. Plastering a final sad smile upon her lips the dainty mare reached forward to nudge Liland's shoulder before turning back to Shamwari and his companion one final time. "Forgive my intrusion, I will leave you to it." she says taking a step backwards and with a single final gaze to the copper stallion turns from them and the remnants of a life she had once lived.
