Blue Green Algae Blooms in the Chowan stretch from Shoup's Landing down to Edenton.
"North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality officials are asking the public to avoid contact with green or blue water in the Chowan River due to an algal bloom."
There are also Blooms in the Perquimons and Little River. The Yeopim looks clean but it's between two rivers that are not.
North River and the Tank are clean so far.
I recommend that we swap out the Chowan and fish the North, Tank, Back Bay or the Chick. These blooms are toxic and have been known to kill dogs and sicken young children and the old. Some of fall into one of those groupings.
Let me know where you guys want to fish and we'll get the word out! We have two weeks to put this together.
