She watched with increasing curiosity as the male wolf nimbly maneuvered around the mud pit, testing each step as he went. At one point, she noticed him touch a paw to a slick surface but before she could part her lips to warn him, he'd already made a noise of frustration and pulled his paw back as if he needed to test her theory. Instead of taking offense though, she only cocked an ear and let her lips twitch in amusement. When he finally got himself into position, she waited patiently as he reached out and grasped the doe's other leg. Waiting further until she knew he was ready, she began to pull and jerk on the doe, working in a see saw motion with the male wolf. It was easy to see that the doe was in the mud pretty deep and it would take some maneuvering before they actually got her free, but Avery had done this before with smaller prey so she knew it was possible.

As they worked, she felt her stomach rumbling and knew both of them would probably be pretty hungry. She would be more than happy to share the doe with Elohim when the doe was free. She was sure at this point, he would be all for it. He was putting in quite the effort, after all. There was no way she would have been able to get the doe out by herself. As soon as they'd managed to drag the doe free of the mud, she collapsed to the ground, catching her breath as her tongue lolled out for all to see. She had no problem letting Elohim know she was indeed dog tired, though she noted that he was looking away as if checking out the carcass but she could see his sides pushing in and out with exertion. Was he afraid to let her see the effort he'd put in? She was proud of it.

At his question, she laughed and shook her head. "Fortunately, no. It just made sense when I came across her struggling in the mud, today. I greatly appreciate the assistance." She bowed her head in respect to the male. She tilted her head, listening attentively as he said that there wasn't mud like that in Glorall but that they had to swim out to get stray prey every once in a while. She nodded. "I would assume that's hard work, too." Her lips twitched again as he started pacing before her, stretching his legs out and shaking the mud from his fur. He certainly was a restless creature. At his next offer, she smiled. "I appreciate it, but caches are hard to keep intact in this environment. With the swamp ever changing and taking more solid land with it, we find it easier to call the pack to the prey most times and let them divide it up and take it to their dens."

Her brow arched at his offer to treat him like an Iromar pack wolf for the moment while he asked his questions. Slowly getting to her paws, she stretched out as needed and shook some of the mud from her fur before she walked over to the carcass. "Feel free to eat with me while we talk. I'm sure your stomach could use the recovery. Ask away. You've already more than earned the price of answers, though I usually give those for free, anyway." Her eyes twinkled as she took a bite out of the doe's stomach, spilling her guts on the ground to go through and eat the juicy organs.
