For a moment Rougaru lets multifaceted eyes remain interlocked within the eyes of the russet colored mare. She was the stranger here and well in his opinion that opened her up to be claimed as another face within his small harem. Were it any other perhaps he would have done so. But there was something about this mare, something about her scent that was familiar and yet different altogether.

For a moment they continue to meet each other's gaze, neither speaking a word as if waiting for the other to break the silence first. Surely she must be wondering who he was, why it was that he was not approaching with prancing gait and determined eyes but well there was that scent that had him thrown off. He knew it, where he knew it from, he could not say for sure... not until she spoke. Suddenly, it was as thought he was back in the cave on the eastern shore. He was back staring face to face with a pretty bay paint mare and her daughter and then... his eyes alight as the scent of the chestnut Macabre hits him. The peaks. Home of the mares who claimed they needed no stallion. There was something in this mare's voice that reminded him of Macabre, but he wondered if it were simply a Peak mare thing.

A single dail flickers amid the tangle of wind swept locks. Paper thin nostrils flare as the stallion takes a step forward, muscular neck outstretched towards her in the age old tradition of greeting. "It suits me well enough... provides for my herd." he remarks, drawing back to himself, a single hind leg cocking against the earth as he settles into a comfortable position, making it clear he had no ill intentions... at least for now. "My name is Rougaru... and I have been here long enough to tell you that Macabre and Cherish had long ago left my shores on the journey west of here." he says, pausing to see what reaction his words might draw from her.
