When the other mare looked her way, Monster held her gaze but didn't offer a challenge, keeping her form neutral. She wasn't the submissive type but she knew better than to threaten a mother with her new foal. Besides, she meant the foal no harm so her ears pricked and she relaxed her muscles, wanting the mare to know she was harmless, at least for the moment. She held her ground as the mother pawed and snorted, letting her get her frustration out of the way but when the bigger black mare called out an invitation, Monster snorted softly, tail swishing against her flanks in hesitation. Did she want to get closer? She was distracted then as the foal walked into his own mother's legs, falling down and even Monster jumped and snorted a little, her nerves getting to her as she watched the foal struggle back to his hooves.

The mother seemed pretty calm, over all. Monster found herself feeding off of it a little. As the foal got up and looked around the mare's legs at her, she watched with growing curiosity as he pawed the ground. She felt the corner of her lips twitching with amusement, but her skin suddenly tingled and she knew why. Her ears flicked back to listen to his approach, tail swishing at her flanks as she shifted her weight. She should have known he would have something snide to say. As his teeth nicked her shoulder, she tossed her head but clamped her jaws, not wanting to squeal and scare the foal. Instead, she shot Rougaru a glare to die for and snorted in response. "You wish." She muttered as she stomped the ground and watched him approach the pair.

Her ears pricked, intrigued by his interaction as he lowered his head to take in the foal before he told the mother that it didn't look very strong. Her own ears pinned in response, sure the mother wouldn't like an insult to her son. She snorted and shook her head. "He looks plenty strong to me. You sure your vision is okay?" Her words dripped with sarcasm, but she was interested to know what the mare might have named the colt.
