Use caution when the wolf comes knocking;

Rougaru had not expected the words that Solaris had thrown over her shoulder when finally he had sent her back to the Inlet with his request for Warsaw's presence. During her time here on his island, she kept herself at a distance from him, clearing settling the lines in the sand that she held no loyalties to him. He may be her father, but it was Warsaw who raised her. Seeing her so swollen with child was unnerving, reminding him exactly how old he was becoming. While he was still a stallion in the prime of life, age was beginning to set in to the aging bones and white gray hairs that were beginning to appear around his muzzle and eyes. What had truly thrown him for a loop was her request to join him, if for a time. He can remember it now as though it were yesterday that this had transpired. Emerald green eyes rounded with surprise as the silver bay stallion gaze a loud snort of disbelief. She wanted to stay here? With him? Boyfriend? That last part was not exactly thrilling to him, but he was caught up in his own tangled mindset that he had only simply been able to nod in response and watch as his pregnant daughter had charged back into the oceans bound for Tinuvel.

For a few days he had watched the shoreline, eagerness lingering upon his green gaze. He knew it was too much to expect her to come when he offered her the place amid his herd... but still. After a few days what he could only believe was disappointment began to creep in. He does not wait along the shores any longer and instead lets his attention fixate upon the mares that he had now. Two of them were due to foal themselves any day and well with the rise of angry emotions that he was beginning to feel from the western islands he was not able to let himself sulk after his daughter.

Like most mornings, he found himself trotting down the worn pathways that lead around the borders of Paradise. Paper thin nostrils flare as the coffee colored stallion inhales a deep breath, expecting nothing new and yet there was something. Now he was familiar with his painted viper's scent... she loved to taunt him by leaving the island through different paths just to send him running about like a horse with his head cut off. He expected her scent... but this. Faintly the sounds of horses upon his beach reach his ears and immediately twin harks snap back against his skullcap as anger flared and pulsed through his veins. A deep guttural growl rumbles from his lungs as Rougaru charges down the lush green path. Forelimbs thrum beneath him as he bursts free of the thick foliage and launches towards the pair on his beach. His eyes fall upon the stallion first, he does not at first see that it is Solaris that lay upon the white sands curled next to a newborn filly. All he sees is red. A threatening bugle screams from his lungs as the large hessian charges at the intruder. It is only when the stallion speaks her name that his blood turns cold and Rougaru slides to a halt. Twin harks flicker in confusion as now he lets his gaze fall upon the mare and newborn stretched upon the sands. "Solaris?" he inquires, single green eye still fixed upon the strange stallion, muscles tense beneath his coffee colored skin as the hessian bent his head to sniff his daughter's water logged skin.
